Burr-da-gurr (Shearling love)

Omgeeee, it is cold!!! But I am not complaining too much. I haven’t really been able to whip out my heavier coats in the last few years so today was def going to be the day. I thought we were done with Winter as the past few days have been a bit warmer here in Ohio AND the little rodant (groundhog 😂) saw his shadow– so Spring is GUARANTEED to come early-right?

This is one of my favorite vintage pieces that I had to have when I came across it. I remember growing up my mother had a brown Shearling similiar to this. Even as a young girl I can think back to how head turning she was when she wore her long coat. Shearlings are typically made from lambskin and resemble suede while the inside is wool so it is guaranteed to keep you warm! Literally I clutched at the center because the wind was whipping around but no buttoning or zippering needed with these. I suggest, that they wear better almost draped, rather than buttoned up to keep closed. The fabric is so heavy that it can be a bit shapeless and bulky so just make sure you choose one that hits in all the right places (length wise as well).

So what do you think, is this one a head turner?

Thanks for catching up with me! As always let’s get social, how are you surviving this winter? Leave a comment below!
